KONTRON’S FLATCLIENT INDUSTRIAL PANEL-PC
Modern industrial design, usability and flexibility – these are the most important challenges for today’s human machine interfaces. Inspired by consumer-oriented products industrial Panel PCs are facing new challenges. They are becoming more than just a functional add-on. Human machine interfaces as integral part of the user experience have to be user-friendly, intuitive and flexible interfaces offering at the same time state-of-the art look and feel.
With its FlatClient industrial HMI series, available as ECO and PRO version, Kontron offers high flexibility with respect to the design. The front options offer a choice between either PCAP touch, resistive touch, or protection glass.

FlatClient MAR

The FlatClient MAR can used in national and international shipping, marine engineering structures and offshore wind farms. The new Panel PC is designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions such as temperature fluctuations, strong vibrations and jets of water. Thanks to its excellent graphics performance, it guarantees, for example, detailed map displays and very good readability even in difficult lighting conditions.
The FlatClient MAR series is available in six display sizes ranging from 10.1″ to 21.5″. Its glare-free and completely flush glass front, a maximum resolution of 1920×1080 and a brightness of up to 500 cd/m², as well as (remotely) controllable backlighting ensure excellent readability and clear visibility.

Panel PC with IP69K for environments with high hygiene and extended sealing requirements
- Designed for high hygiene standards following EHEDG guidelines, suited for washdown applications (e.g. high-pressure cleaning)
- Stainless steel housing with IP69K protection (support arm version)
- Scalable performance from Intel Atom® to Intel® Core™ i5
- Smooth, seamless display surface for perfect cleanability
These specifications qualify the new FlatClient HYG for use in sensitive hygienic scenarios, in the food and pharmaceutical industry as well as in clean rooms of semiconductor manufacturing plants, in optics and laser technology, life sciences and nanotechnology. The robust basic design enables operation next to dirt-generating manufacturing machines.
The PCAP touch display clearly distinguishes legitimate control inputs, even with gloves, from errors like the impact of water drops (water drop rejection) or the accidental touching of the display with the entire palm of the hand (palm rejection).
